We are proud to kick off our first installment of the “best of the best” with the remodel of William Shatner’s kitchen. This design transformation as Bill calls it “a kennel kitchen, to a kitchen kennel” was brought to us by the DIY network, and celebrity interior designer and TV personality Jinnie Choi.

As outlined in the Episode 1 titled “Kitchen Remodel” Jinnie, and the Shatner’s update their circa 1974 kitchen with new appliances, fixtures, cabinets, and yes of course an updated backsplash brought to you by Jeffrey Court. There is even a clip where Bill try’s to grout his backsplash with little success being that instruction from the installer that “its like icing a cake,” Bill quipping “Have you ever iced a cake?”…."Well no" replied the installer, “Then how do you know its like icing a cake?”
Jinnie Choi handpicked our Chapter 15 Random Stick Mosaic to accompany the transitional kitchen featuring a terracotta floor, medium-brown cabinets, neutral grey granite, and stainless steel appliances. Built to the Shatner’s specifications this amazing kitchen features a built in dog kennel, and an abundance of appliances and space for entertaining guests.
To anyone who has done a major remodel we can all empathize with the Shatner’s as they make design decisions with Bill’s witty humor making it a totally relatable and enjoyable series. The Shatner Project was brought to us by the DIY network, look for the Shatner and enjoy this awesome series!
